The idea of creating Naomi Foundation was based on experience of losing a husband, struggling for life, and believing in mutual help with guidance from God.

Naomi was created and registered in Rwanda in 2009 by Jeannette Mukarukundo who suffered and endured hard life after losing her husband.

​

The inspiration and encouragement came from the Naomi and Ruth story from the Bible: Book of Ruth,  Chapters 1 & 2.  As devoted Christian Jeannette believed that Naomi and her daughters-in-law are good example of who widows can achieve big goals by working together.

Since 2010, Naomi Foundation is strong in  Rwanda -Africa, is registered in USA since 2016 and would like to expand its presence in various countries.
